Thai restaurant, Bar, Restaurant, Southeast Asian restaurant
Visited for dinner alone and sat at the bar.Cocktails were great, food was decent, but the service could have been a bit more welcoming. Servers were very nice, but as I finished the cocktail and appetizer I had ordered to start, the waitstaff started asking if I wanted the bill before I had the chance to review the menu for my entree order. Instead of feeling taken care of, it felt a bit like I was being rushed through my meal and to pay the bill so they could turn my spot over.
I recently dined at Rice, a Thai restaurant in DC, and it was a delightful experience. The papaya salad with shrimp was perfectly spicy, and the chicken cashew dish, though excellent, could be even better with the addition of pineapple. While the service was nothing out of the ordinary, the food made up for it.I’d definitely recommend Rice and look forward to revisiting on my next trip to DC.
Went alone and sat at the bar.Great vibes: music was at a perfect volume, lighting created a great environment and staff were nice and helpful. Food was tasty and came out quick.Perfect for a quick bite (lunch or dinner), a first date or even a nice meal to catch up with friends.
