Pho 99

Ordered some take out.
The vermicelli noodles were overcooked.
The grilled pork was a little chewy.
Bread for the sandwich was a little hard.
Fish sauce was not as flavorful.

The portion sizes are pretty good, plenty of noodles and meat though the brisket is not thin sliced nor rare.
Mainly the issue stems from the broth being lukewarm and containing so much oil that it permeates every bite.
I understand pho can have some oil floating at the top from the meat which adds flavor but I've never seen so much in one bowl. Food was one thing but the waitress is really what pushed me to even leave a review.
Walked in, made eye contact, then proceeds to continue using their phone until walking into the kitchen and coming back out to eventually seat us.
We drank our waters until they were empty and they remained that way up until we left, the waitress nowhere to be seen except for taking our order and giving the check. All in all disappointing considering its the only Knoxville Vietnamese restaurant with Pho in the name.

My partner and I have regularly been coming here for the past year and a half or so.
By regularly, I mean several times a week! Sandra, the waitress, has always been so kind and greets us with hugs.
We always feel very included, as the servers always tell us hello and ask us how we are doing.
Sandra memorized our regular orders after we had visited a few times, and has our order ready for us within 10 minutes of us sitting down.
The portions are fantastic and we always leave with our bellies happy! The food is always tasteful and I always appreciate the condiments, such as sriracha and fish oil, provided for our meals.
The atmosphere at Pho 99 has always been great, before and after remodeling! We will be coming here forever!
