Applebee's Grill + Bar

We had a good meal, not bad, but also not extraordinary.
I would give 3,5 star if that was possible. The salad and burger were oké.
All the personal was very friendly. The sevice was good. The restaurant is very busy with lots of tv's and music.

As we were seated, we waited almost 10 mins for someone/a server to come to our table, but that was quickly fixed by the manager which he was awesome! My server decided to come by right afterwards and he to was awesome! Now let's get into my food I ordered, I ordered the chicken wontons which were amazing as always but my main problem was my main dish, I ordered The chicken Alfredo Penne, and right off my first bite I knew it was gonna be a bad situation, MY noodles were a bit overcooked, the sauce was mac and cheese sauce not Alfredo, also it was topped with fresh salsa not tomatoes but salsa you dip chips in with cilantro in it..
At first I was very upset but I decided not to eat anymore and just pack it up for someone else to enjoy.
My son ordered a Bacon Cheese burger, which I don't have a picture of but I will say it was not fresh, the tomatoes were soggy and you couldn't chew the bacon because that to was old.
So my son said after the 3rd bite he was not eating anymore of that..
Welp no we didn't complain to the restaurant because why? It will not help anything.
But I will say the staff was very amazing..
but it definitely showed why I haven't ate here in over two years..
food definitely taste generic now..

We pulled into Applebee's after driving 15 hours to grab some dinner before we crashed for the night.
The service was great! Our waitress was super fast and friendly.
The food wasn't as great unfortunately.
The mozzarella sticks were really good and a nice start to the meal.
My wife ordered some sort of Alfredo pasta and I ordered the chicken and shrimp.
My chicken was good and had a really good flavor but my shrimp were raw.
The great thing was that my plate was still sizzling when it came out so I could attempt to cook them.
However when I tried them they tasted funny so I wasn't going to attempt to eat them and get food poisoning while on vacation.
The sides were ok.
My wife's meal was definitely the worst.
Her pasta tasted like glue and water I would have been ashamed to bring that out to serve.
Our waitress was super nice she noticed my wife didn't eat her meal and refunded the portion of her meal but by the time she did that my wife lost her appetite.
It's a shame that they have such a nice atmosphere and wonderful wait staff only to have really below average food.
It will be a long time before I eat Applebee's anytime soon after that.
