When I asked my hotel front desk, she recommended this Mexican restaurant which is few yards away.
Location is good and parking is available. Food was authentic Mexican taste with right aroma and spices. Had Steak & Shrimp.
It was nicely cooked. Have a small bar with Mexican drinks. I think it is popular among neighborhood. Value for money and nice place for quick grab as well

This place was packed, and that's always a good sign.
We waited about 10 minutes for seating for 6 of us which was surprising. Service was friendly and fast.
We ordered and got our drinks, then ordered food.
Meals came out within a decent amount of time with only one being delayed a bit.
Without us asking, they decided to remove that meal from the bill.
That was awesome! The food was absolutely great! Beans and rice are tasty with perfect texture for the beans.
I'd like a tad more moisture for the rice, but it was still very good. The atmosphere was much like a busy restaurant should be expected to be.
The only problem I had was the layout.
Some of the seating was cramped.
They can't really do anything about it other than skinnier tables in the mid room seating. Over all, I give Monterrey 5 out of 5 stars because 1: I would definitely eat there again, 2: I would suggest it to friends, and 3: I would drive more than 30 minutes to eat here again.

Monterrey is a new favorite! They have great service, great food, and the prices are reasonable.
We especially love the giant ball jar margaritas.
My go to is the skinny, while my husband’s is the regular.
