Good cuisine, service is decent, and atmosphere is lacking.
The dining room could use some attention in the form of cleaning and updating.
The staff was friendly and responsive.
The mango lassi was the best part of the meal by far.
Take out is probably the best option if you are looking to give this restaurant a try.

Let me start off by saying the food here has been great the two times I've visited.
I'm not familiar with majority of items on their menu so I've stuck to the Chicken Tikka Masala (which is great!) both times, and I've ventured out on the appetizers a bit.
The chilli gobi was delicious and not too spicy, and I can't seem to remember the other appetizer I've tried on my previous visit.
The Gulab Jamun for desert was really sweet, so if that's up your alley you'll love this.
So the food is great. However, the menu and the prices felt a bit shady.
The menu had a glued on note "prices may vary", indicating prices on the menu are not accurate.
When I paid, nothing we ordered matched the price in the menu, which probably means it's time to update the menu.
We didn't feel right ordering without knowing the prices, but we were tired from a long day and hungry.
It'd be an awkward dining experience spending all that time asking the price for each menu item we considered.
So we just ended up ordering items totally unknown on what the price would be. Additionally, the first time I went was with a group of 6.
We were hit with a hidden 15% fee (I assume this was the tip) without us knowing until we paid (including an additional tip we all left willingly) and had to ask for the receipt.
Felt a bit cheated. I don't like leaving negative reviews and I was hesitant reviewing Spice 9, but as I paid I was asked to leave them a review and if I had cash that I could pay with instead that way they could avoid the credit card fee...
A bit demanding.
Not sure I'd be back but definitely might do take out considering how good the food is and at least I know what I'm paying for online.

Thanks for your feedback V-Man, we are working on the updated menu prices.
For a party of 5 or more people, we add a gratitude fee.
Usually it is mentioned on the board but due to are recent bar renovation, this was missed.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regarding the cash, we will talk desk about that and make sure this will not be repeated again.

Slightly rugged but best indian lunch in the area.
