I was deeply disappointed with my recent breakfast experience. The pastries, which were purportedly by Cédric Grolet, were cold and far from fresh—an absolute letdown. The eggs and coffee were no better than what you'd expect at a three-star hotel, lacking any semblance of care or craftsmanship. Moreover, the atmosphere was utterly ruined by intoxicated guests who were loud and disruptive throughout the entire meal. The staff did nothing to address this, allowing it to spoil what should have been a refined and tranquil breakfast experience.Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing morning that fell far short of the high standards I expected. Tea in Paris! Yes please. This restaurant does it up RIGHT! My sister and some friends and I decided we wanted to do the “high tea” experience (I have since been corrected that it’s not really called high tea…) so we booked a reservation at the restaurant in Le Meurice. We were blown away. This experience was worth every dollar spent. First, the room is one of the most beautiful rooms you can dive in.We had a piano player, the most beautiful artwork to look at. The device was amazing. Our waiter took the time to explain everything and even chatted with us. The tea was absolutely lovely. The food.OMG.These pictures cannot possibly bring justice to the delicious sweet and savory experience. We ate every last bite. Paired with lovely bubbly… we had pink champagne. The presentation of the food was also pure art. This experience was one of my best highlights of the trip to Paris.I have been to Paris many times and had never done the afternoon tea experience. Now it will be something I do every trip! Be sure to pack a nice outfit that matches the elegance of this experience! And book far in advance, especially if you have a group bigger than 4.
