Visited 16MAR2024 I would recommend this place.
I plan on visiting again and trying other dishes. Great: The service was excellent; the wait worked together to get use our orders.
The decor and tables were nice and relaxing for brunch.
Definitely quiet, even in Downtown.
The specialty mimosas were delicious, as were the lattes.
The buttermilk pancake was thick and fluffy. Good: The French toast and bacon were good.
The breakfast quesadilla was very tasty with a good portion of hash browns.
I had to add hot sauce for more flavor.
The chicken sausage links were good, but a bit spicy. Bad: Nothing bad.

Great place for breakfast or brunch.
I've been to Chicago 10 times and have tried a lot of things.
Meli Cafe was the best.
Good atmosphere, friendly service and quick service.
Exactly what you need for breakfast.
The selection is large, from tart to sweet dishes and the portions are just as large.
It was delicious.
Next time I visit Chicago, I'll go back to Meli Cafe.

Stopped in to grab some breakfast and get out of the rain.
I couldn’t tell if they were busy/understaffed, which may account for the slower service.
It took 5-10 after being seated before I was greeted by anyone.
I had the cinnamon apple crepe, a mimosa and espresso.
The food arrived quickly and tasted as expected - not over or underwhelming.
I waited for my check longer than expected, given my dishes were cleared away well before.
Overall, an average dining experience.
