French restaurant, Mediterranean restaurant
We came here for restaurant week and made a reservation online. We got there early and luckily they were able to seat us early, but not until the entire party showed up.Once the entire party was was there we were seated in the main dining room, and wow is the environment beautiful. There was an amazing mesh ceiling design, and the tables were perfectly dimmed for a romantic dinner. They started us off with complimentary long bread sticks and a delicious fluffy bread with honey butter.I decided to get the octopus to start, salmon for main and the citrus pavlova to end.The octopus was well cooked with a spicy tomato ragout, I ate it too quick and wished there was more. The salmon was fine, nothing special in my opinion. The dessert was light and fresh.Ultimately I expect that restaurant week will limit their selections but I felt like their options for their mains were pretty boring compared to their actual menu.My company got the steak option and one of them ordered the drink “an affair to remember”.The drink was beautiful but not worth the price point.
Magnificent decor (indoor and outdoor), fabulous food as off original and tasty above expectations. One star off the overall experience for the inexperienced waiters. Even though I could tell a manager was walking around supervising the staff and checking for the customers to be happy, it wasn't enough to compensate for the inexperienced waiters we had.I didn't feel we had professional waiters and it added-up to take away a good experience for me.Among other things that happened and were an inconvenience (yet that wouldn't have affected this rating), what didn't work for me is our young waitress having the attitude of a teenager triggered by her mom to address a miss on their part that could have been nothing and easily handled with class.Zero customer service ability, I could tell she had no training to serve customers. This attitude wasn't matching the rest of the classy experience and no one wants to deal with that at dinner with friends. At the end of dinner, I asked one other person at the table across from me about is experience of the service and he wasn't satisfied. We were sitting at an outdoor table this time but I remember sitting at the bar once in the past and the staff there was professional and friendly.Hopefully, they will now recruit mature waiters for the table service to match the high level of professionalism in the other categories.
Although Ive been here before with my friends, I was really expecting the same service that I received before.I took my family to enjoy the restaurant week menu but we waited 20 minutes to our table be greeted, once finally our server came to the table saying “Hi, what can I get you to drink?” Lacked of kindness and zero hospitality. We were ready to order so we gave her back the attitude, I think she noticed it because later on the night she changed it, but the first impression is the most important and I think no one should be treated this way when you’re spending an $100 average per person.Food was ok and we loved the espresso martini.Need to work on training and customer service.
