Small restaurant in a strip mall trending older, local, and regulars for customer-base which is not dissimilar of other places in Gunbarrel.Space is broody and comfortable with friendly staff.Food and drinks were fine, nachos are about $1 a chip on happy hour which doesn’t seem too, too happy.Calamari was bad.Overall seemed like it could use a good revamp.
The food at Cafe Blue is consistently outstanding.There is something else that makes this restaurant exceptional and special.This small restaurant is a 17 year old family business run by a lovely local couple who obviously care very deeply.Husband in the kitchen and wife running the front from behind the bar, it reminds me of the favorite establishment in a small town in Europe.There is nothing corporate about the vibe here, just down home hospitality with hand made excellence from the kitchen.“You wanna go where everybody knows your name” and order the Blue Burger.Best in town!
Great place to eat, have a drink, chat with friends. Super friendly staff and a awesome blackened mahi 🤤
