The owner said if we mention we are vegan when we make a reservation, they'll put together a menu for us.He said that most of their dishes start out vegan, before meat is added at the end.Tonight we had their "dirt dinner", celebrating chilis.All courses were excellent, interesting, unusual, and vegan.
Our experience was very mediocre.We had every intention of having a great time with awesome food, but it just didn’t go that way.For starters atmosphere is pretty great.The tables are nice, the small dining room is cozy, and the decor is unique.It took close to 30 minutes to speak to a server, get water and drinks ordered.After drinks we ordered our appetizers which were okay, sadly, the complementary bread being the best part of the start of our meal. The entrees had potential, but seemed significantly over seasoned. The idea of farm to table had us extremely excited, and we were willing to pay the prices to justify that experience.Overall we didn’t have the most amazing dinner and would not go back.
I found this place during my planning for a 5500 mile road trip. I could not be more amazed. The place is whimsical not fancy.We were lucky to be near the kitchen to watch the chef. This was our second night of our trip and what a joy.We ate too much but it was all fresh and fantastic.Great for people like me GF.
