I wanted to love the food here so bad based on the reviews and photos.But sadly I was disappointed. I ordered the pork bao.There is so much fat and hardly any meat on it that I didn’t even eat it.3/10 I also ordered the shrimp, ravioli, the version that wasn’t fried.And they were okay.I would like to say that the sauce on it was actually pretty good.I just didn’t love these.They were a 5/10 for me. I also ordered the popcorn chicken, which was what I was looking forward to the most and again it was just OK I’d give it a 6/10.They chicken pieces were big and crispy.But not much flavor.The spicy mayo that came with it was absolutely diabolical.It literally was so plain with no flavor or spice and it whatsoever.6/10 I did order a few items because I did want to try a lot of the menu and I just wasn’t that impressed.I was really sad.

Everything was amazing!! Small restaurant with a great vibe.I would say a booking is essential.The popcorn chicken, bao, eggplant & smashed cucumbers were a highlight. Thanks for a great night BAOBAR, we will for sure be back.

Very disappointed by the food and service! We were served uncooked chicken when we ordered fried popcorn chicken.On informing the server, we were told that the chicken wasn’t undercooked, but the pink color was due to spices, which was a blatant lie.I have cooked marinated chicken with spices a hundred times but never encountered such issues.I would have appreciated it if the server would have simply acknowledged the mistake.We left the place right after, and they did ask us to pay for that undercooked chicken.Other food was average and quite bland.Also, the service is poor.The only good thing is the presentation and atmosphere.Not recommended at all.
