Wow, what a fantastic place to get a meal.
This is one of those restaurants where I feel like I rate other places too high because this one was outstanding.
The sauerkraut balls were full of flavor and delicious.
The spaetzle dish with sausage and cheese was phenomenal.
The schnitzel and fries were amazing as well.
Service was impeccable, atmosphere was spot on although I was expecting older German music and I got current tunes but not a big deal overall.
Fantastic restaurant and highly recommended!

Thanks Josef! For traditional German music, come on Tuesdays when the Maennerchor rehearses and then sings in the bar!

Last minute stop when visiting Columbus, we tried another highly rated restaurant but the wait was over an hour, we got right in here, patio seating (covered and heated, was fine).
The service was great, the menu was adjusted due to St Patrick’s Day but I really wanted the Käsespätzle so the server asked the chef if they could do that, and they did! It was really good.
Place is a little pricey for me ($20 and up) but food is good and I’m glad we found this place.
Better parking here also just FYI.

I have previously visited Valters and loved it.
However this time I did carry out.
I was not told that they were out of rye bread before ordering the Ruben .
They also failed to cut the corn beef on the sandwich and instead laid a slap of it on.
Handed me my Ruben with a pretzel bun on top.
A Frankenstein of a sandwich without warning that I overpaid for.
Will not be going back.
Don’t recommend.
