The Tin Table is one of my go-to spots on the Hill! LGBTQ owned and operated--the staff are always so welcoming and remember my regular drink order.
They never give me a hard time about not wanting any blue cheese on my cheese plate.
The seasonal veg appetizers are always INCREDIBLE.
I often take my fries, cheese, or dessert into the Ballroom to finish munching while dancing gets started. They just redid the seating and decor--now there are cute cozy loveseats, warm lighting on each table, etc.
Super "Instagramable" if you're into that.
Overall, the Tin Table is the perfect mix between cozy neighborhood restaurant/bar and slightly upscale vibes.
I doubt you could manage to under OR overdress here.

Been here twice now.
The first time was a great experience with delicious food and cocktails and great service.
The second time had a different menu and the food just wasn’t that good.
So based off of those two experiences, I’d say this place is hit or miss.
I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it.
But! There are always open slots for reservations and the location is very convenient if you have other plans in that neighborhood.
A good spot to keep in mind if you don’t like the long waits at most Capitol Hill food spots.

Right next to Molly moon.
This place is on the 2nd floor , just directly up the stairs through the set of double doors.
It is about 15 steps (evenly spaced).
At first I thought I was going into an apartment building. If you go around 6pm on a weekend then you can get a seat right away.
After that , this place gets quite pack. The place is decorated with expensive art work that is for sale. Parking in cap hill is a challenge, especially this area given it is quite central. Server was really attentive.
Food is solid.
The drinks stole the show.
