I put an order for biscuits and gravy. On 3-21-24 I ordered from a third party app.And when I received my food there was no gravy.I ordered biscuits and gravy and also ordered extra gravy. So I called the Restaurant and spoke to someone who identified themselves as Brian. However I think they were lying And just didn't want to tell me who they were.I requested to speak to the manager Carrie. The person refused to allow me to speak to Carrie.I requested a another biscuits and gravy. And they said they couldn't do that. They could only give me a percentage of my money back. The person I spoke to was very rude and condescending. They laughed at me and pointed out that I seemed very upset, to their joy. I asked who was the owner and how could I complain further? They refuse to answer. I felt this was very unpleasant.Unprofessional and unnecessary as far as customer service is concerned. And I don't think this person should be working with the public.Treating me this way, all I do is spend money there.I've never had any complaints or trouble with this restaurant.I do believe this is a personal issue towards me for whatever reason. And I felt that the person I spoke to on the phone was very rude.
Small diner feel in the heart of Capital Hill.I’ve been eating here since 2017 and I’m almost never disappointed. There’s two separate seating sections, one for the bar and the other is family friendly. Some of my favorite items off the menu are the cheese, curds, Philly cheesesteaks, and pot roast. The cheesesteaks are so good I’ve paid $40 for DoorDash.Great after hours vibe that also connects to a dance bar via passage way.Very dependable.
The service here was outstanding. I had the chicken fried steak with the rosemary potatoes and eggs, and my wife had the biscuits and gravy. My potatoes were excellent, as were the portions. However, the chicken fried steak was thin and hard, my wife's biscuits were super dry, and the sausage gravy was pretty bland. The atmosphere was about average, and the booths were spacious and comfortable.
