We kicked things off with the "World Butter Plate" – nothing fancy, just a fun way to taste different kinds of butter. Then came the mouthwatering Indonesian Pork Belly and the downright amazing South African Bunny Chow.Seriously, they blew us away. And to top it all off, we indulged in the Danish Drømmekage Dream Cake. Overall, the food was out of this world, and I absolutely loved the vibe of the place. It was totally unique. Would definitely visit again
Unique experience where we get to try different cuisines. This is a small place which led to us to wait for almost 40 minutes so highly recommend to call ahead and reserve. The ambience is unique as well with decor from different parts of the world but clumsy. It has a mini bar and seating area, the service is fine.As we went as a group, we got a chance to order several dishes from the menu.We are disappointed with fried chicken, nothing special other than the presentation. On the other hand, several other dishes like bunny chow, mussels are good.Disappointed with the dessert which has 90% whipped cream. The prices are expensive, we can try once for the experience.
Nue on Capitol Hill isn't just a dining spot; it's a small, charming, and undeniably hipster haven where culinary adventures await.Stepping into Nue feels like entering a cozy retreat, where each dish promises to surprise and delight. My recent visit to Nue left me wanting more, and I'm excited to share my experience. To kick off our journey, we started with the Beirut Style Hummus—an absolute treat served with warm, fluffy pita bread. The creamy texture and flavorful blend of tahini, lemon, and garlic made for a perfect appetizer, setting the stage for what was to come. We ordered the Portuguese Peri Peri Chicken Sandwich.Picture tender chicken, marinated in a fiery Peri Peri sauce, nestled between slices of toasted artisan bread, and topped with crisp lettuce and ripe tomato. Each bite was a burst of bold flavors, perfectly balancing spice and freshness. Next up was the South African Bunny Chow—a dish that stole the show with its bold and comforting flavors.Savoring the aromatic curry served in a hollowed-out loaf of bread was an experience in itself, transporting me to the streets of South Africa with every bite. This was shockingly amazing! The ambiance at Nue perfectly complements the eclectic menu, with its quirky decor and laid-back vibe. The attentive service only added to the charm, making our dining experience truly memorable. In conclusion, Nue on Capitol Hill is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure waiting to be explored.Whether you're a food enthusiast or a curious diner seeking new experiences, Nue promises to delight your taste buds and ignite your sense of wanderlust.
