The food was horrible!!! The performance on Feb 10 was very good!!! She did an awesome set.
It's a small space but decent enough to watch live performances.
There are 2 sides however we only sat on the soul side.
The security/ door mar was very rude.
I would only recommend this place for strong drinks and the live performance.

Live music and vibe was AMAZING.
Warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Food is a hard pass.
I ordered the gumbo and cornbread which ate more like a tomato based stew flavor wise.
Shrimp was cooked and FLAVORED to perfection, but only got 3 pieces.
Cornbread was a miss, too much baking powder.
The meal was disappointing but the live music definitely ate.
$10 cover.
Would only come again for drinks and music.

It's always a good time at The Freeman. Whether you want to hang out in the big room for an electric evening or walk over to the smaller intimate room for a dope jam session; either one is a vibe unmatched! The service was on point! Shootout to both old and new management. The food is pretty good with a nice mixture of bar and restaurant options.
