Upon entry, the host and servers were very kind.We had a reservation and were seated immediately. It was our first time here and we wanted to try a variety of meats so we tried their variety platter that they have. The experience was great but the meat was alright. The matcha cocktail we ordered was amazing, however there was nothing too outstanding for us to come back to. All in all a wonderful experience but other places do it better.
While we're responsible for cooking our own meat at Niwa Japanese BBQ, the food was good.I came across a review where someone mentioned their meat was burnt. However, grilling is in our hands, and the restaurant even provides a helpful note advising the recommended cooking time for each type of meat, ensuring we get the best results. I had reserved a table in advance and was seated upon arrival. The tables are beautifully designed, and the seating is comfortable, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was generally non-intrusive, always approaching with a willingness to help when called upon. There were moments I wished they were a bit more attentive, but their approach ensured we weren't disturbed unnecessarily, and they were quick to clear dishes with a warm smile. However, there were some external challenges.Parking was problematic. Some nearby lots had homeless individuals demanding money at public parking.Even with police around, the situation wasn't handled well.Additionally, the area had a noticeable number of intoxicated drivers. For those considering a visit, especially during weekend nights, I'd advise using ride-sharing apps or perhaps parking at a distance and walking. In conclusion, Niwa Japanese BBQ offers a beutiful dining experience. Most of the challenges I faced were external and not a reflection of the restaurant's service or quality.
Good food, really cool interiors, and the staff was awesome.Had a great time!
