Most of the food options are fried food.I got the popcorn chicken, which tasted too salty for me to finish after I ran out of sauce.Incidentally, the sauce being mayo just doubled down on the unhealthy aspect of the meal. You could get food just as good or better at several places in a one mile radius. Service is non existent. You order at one of two kiosks which take your name and phone number, only for them to use neither when your order is ready - I saw them call people either by the dish they ordered, or by the order number which you have to check the receipt for.The kiosk, of course, asks for a tip despite you not interacting with a human whatsoever. It's like ordering delivery without getting to stay in the comfort of your home. The store is located in an underpopulated shopping center, so there's no view. The inside is clean, which may be helped by the fact that nobody seems to want to stay here for a prolonged period of time. There is a generic K-pop playlist playing on the TV, and the walls are decorated with uninspired 2010-era posters. Overall, it's a rather mediocre experience.
I initially found TeaEra while looking for a treat. They’re tucked away in a shopping center right off Cottle.Every time I go in their store is clean even when they’re busy. The employees are friendly and greet you. Each time I’ve gone in their service is very good and their teas even better.I haven’t tried their food yet but the menu looks delicious and the food smells great.
We put in an order through tpass and the drinks were made very quickly. We tried the matcha smoothie and green tea and both taste delicious.I think this is the best boba spot in south San Jose, a notch above pure tea bar if you’re looking for fresh tasting tea.A big plus is also the interior, it’s very clean and there’s a lot of seating.
