I recently ate breakfast at Ruby Sunshine for the first time, and I was very impressed.
The service is very good and the food is delicious.
We started off with the beignets that were so tasty.
I had the Three Little Pigs omelet that comes with bacon, ham, and sausage with grits and a delicious buttermilk biscuit.
It was so good.
The bar looks really cool, and I need to have a cocktail the next time I come back.
If you are looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot in Ballantyne, I recommend Ruby Sunshine.

We originally tried this location because we had such a great experience at the Bland Street location. 1.
The parking is a major advantage.
It's a free parking lot outside the restaurant with plenty of parking. 2.
This restaurant is located in the old Ruby Tuesday building on Johnston Rd.
It's a large space with plenty of dining room seating.
They have a lot of the same New Orleans decor but the feel is just a bit cold. 3.
The service was excellent.
The hostess seated us promptly and the dining room was really clean.
Our waitress was also really friendly.
She was very patient with us as we ordered and she was knowledgeable about the offerings on the menu. 4.
The food was just ok on this visit.
We really enjoyed the avocado toast.

Bennie was good but not remarkable.
The sweet heat chicken and french toast was a bit dry but still good. 5.
All in all we had a good time here but we wished they had a few more options for people who don't eat pork.
They will treat you really well and deliver some solid food.

I just left the Ruby Sunshine on Johnston & I must say, the food was really good! I got the Hot Honey chicken & French toast bites and their seasonal mimosa.
I was nervous at first because I saw reviews that said the French toast was "dry, hard, & inedible", but that wasn't for the case for me.
The french toast was perfectly crisp on the outside & nice and soft on the inside.
So either they changed the way they make them or I had a really good batch.
The chicken strip were also nice and favorable.
I went pretty early on a Saturday (around 8am) and I didn't have to wait at all.
It was actually pretty empty.
But it started to full up around 8:45 as I was leaving. I look forward to coming back!
