September 21, 2024Roux in Chicago is a delightful Southern gem! 🌟
I visited for brunch and was met with a welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. Though the line was long, I only waited about 15 minutes, and the fast service made up for it. I indulged in the buttermilk yogurt and shrimp and grits; while the grits were slightly underwhelming, the flavor of the fresh shrimp shone through.
Don't skip the potatoes - they were crispy perfection! And the cinnamon roll? The best I’ve had in ages! Definitely coming back for more! 🍽️✨

June 12, 2024We visited for brunch on a bustling Saturday and only waited about 15 minutes, which was totally worth it.
I ordered the shrimp and grits, which, while fresh, could have used more seasoning. The real stars were the crispy potatoes and the buttermilk yogurt - perfectly balanced with all the right toppings!
The cozy, trendy atmosphere makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal, but be ready for a bit of closeness with your neighbors. Overall, a delightful experience that calls for a return visit! Can't wait to try the beignets next time... 🍩
