So glad we gave Daisy’s a try! After visiting the Museum of Science and Industry, we stopped by Daisy’s for dinner and were so happy with our experience. To eat, three of us ordered 3 Biscuits with Honey Butter, Fried Green Tomatoes, a bowl of the Seafood Gumbo, the 6” BBQ Shrimp Po’ Boy, and the 6” Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy.The biscuits were buttery and cheesy and the honey butter was just the right amount of sweet. The Fried Green Tomatoes were good but not the star of the show. The sandwiches were incredibly flavorful and delicious. The Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy had just a kick of spice that really added to the flavor. Finally, the Seafood Gumbo had the perfect zip we were looking for and was so flavorful. All around, the food was amazing and just what we were looking for from a Cajun restaurant. For the ambiance, the restaurant was decorated with fun, Cajun-themed decor and the employees were friendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend Daisy’s for casual, Cajun cuisine in Hyde Park!

Thanks for stopping by after your museum trip! Glad you got to try so much of the menu, we look forward to seeing you again.
Stop in here for lunch started with the fried green tomatoes which were decent but the corn meal lacks flavor. But that dipping sauce with it makes up for already average fried tomato 7.4.The voodoo wings were cool too nothing crazy, they are average-style buffalo wings that come with a side of ranch.7.6.Lastly, I got the blackened chicken sandwich and this was good the grilled chicken was juicy, and it was a solid sandwich 7.9.Overall the menu has options I am willing to try again but my first take place just average.7.7.
It's a New Orleans style restaurant where you walk in and order at the counter, pick your drink out the cooler, take your number and sit down. There is a cooler with self-serve water and you grab your cutlery and napkins there yourself as well. The food didn't come out that hot, it was warm actually. I tried a honey butter biscuit and sent it back because it was cold. The new one was only hot on the bottom like they put it on the grill. The fried green tomatoes had no seasoning on them. The onion rings tasted ok but weren't hot. The fries were the hottest thing we received. I spent $90 and we weren't satisfied with the meal. I won't be returning.
