Staff was disinterested in our arrival, should have been our first clue.
Didn’t serve the lime mayo with the antipasti and it got worse from here.
Primi’s were unremarkable but pleasant.
Secondi’s were the worst we’ve had in two weeks in Italy (DON’T ORDER ROAST LAMB, it was all bone and fat).
Frittata Di calamari e gamberi was over done and uninteresting.
The best part of the meal was the side order of chicory.
Oh, and the wine was pleasant.
The lamb was so bad we actually sent it back, we NEVER send food back.
Go to any other restaurant on this street.
And they didn’t even offer us a glass of water, not even one we pay for.

We ate here on 6th August 2024, just 2 of us although we had previously eaten here a year before when there was 4 of us. Couldn’t wait to get back for the fish starter and this was exactly as we remembered! Beautiful fish coated in batter, served on a bed of lettuce with lemon - absolutely delicious! My friend plumped for the steak, as her main, cooked medium and was melt in the mouth whilst I opted for meatballs in a tomato sauce served with the local pasta! Overall a lovely evening with staff who were attentive and polite and happy to chat over the menu with us, but also happy just to have a chat. Strongly recommend this restaurant, food was freshly cooked to order, wine was excellent, location and staff equally so! Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Rome

I love this place as it offers a superb dining experience that is really easy on the wallet.
It’s surprisingly nice and affordable where you could get a nice, warm and full meal for €15 and enjoy the experience of eating by the roadside, seeing everyone walking by and you just relax… and what’s more, it’s just a few mins away from the Vatican City.
