My recent dining experience at Mexican Inn Cafe left me with mixed feelings, as the restaurant offered a blend of delightful surprises and slight disappointments. One highlight that stood out was the fajitas and the salsa; both were a burst of flavors, a perfect balance of spice and freshness that complemented the entire meal. The salsa alone was enough to elevate the dining experience. Moving on to the main course, the fajitas were a definite win.The sizzling platter arrived with perfectly grilled meat and a medley of colorful, sautéed vegetables. The aroma was inviting, and the taste did not disappoint. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection, and the accompanying vegetables added a delightful crunch. The dish showcased the kitchen's expertise in preparing classic Mexican fare. However, only some things on the table lived up to expectations. The chips, a staple in any Mexican restaurant, could have been more impressive. They were homemade Fritos. Those are good alone but not suitable for dipping chips and salsa. While they served as vessels for the delicious salsa, they did not make a memorable impression. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with vibrant decor creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly, contributing positively to the overall experience.Although 85% of people working there were sniffling and coughing, and while I understand that happens, it was unnerving to eat food cooked and served by people who are sick. Thankfully, my server wasn't one of them; she was great. In conclusion, Mexican Inn Cafe offers a flavorful journey with notable highlights, such as outstanding salsa and mouthwatering fajitas. However, the inconsistency in the quality of the chips left room for improvement.Mexican Inn Cafe is worth visiting if you're a fan of well-executed salsa and crave satisfying fajitas.Just be prepared to overlook the lackluster chips for the sake of this establishment's other culinary delights.
Decent food great atmosphere and great price.By decent I don’t mean it negative, the food is really good and it’s very Tex Mex.Best home made corn tortillas around AND fresh made corn chips- oh so good!
There was a powerful non shielded light shining in our face coming from the “patio room” and if you are seated in first booth outside that room as we were, you get blinded by it. Another important issue in my mind is delivery of chips and sauce is very late in coming.Half of the reason we choose to eat there is because they are quality but it would be much to our liking if they arrived just as our bodies hit the seats!!!
