Mexican restaurant
Menuderia Guanajuato offers a delightful dive into authentic Mexican flavors right in Phoenix. With a cozy, casual atmosphere, it’s a haven for breakfast and lunch lovers willing to embrace traditional dishes. The traditional Menudo Rojo shines here, earning praise for its hearty flavor, while the gorditas come beautifully crafted yet may benefit from bolder seasonings. Although the neighborhood could use some sprucing up, the friendly service and quick bites make it a favorite among locals. Plus, with wheelchair accessibility and a kids' menu, it's an accommodating spot for all.

Although situated in a less desirable neighborhood, this Mexican restaurant stands out as a noteworthy visit. Our group found the menudo enjoyable, deserving a solid rating of 4 out of 5; its flavor has room for enhancement to reach perfection. I personally rate the gorditas at 4.2 out of 5.They were expertly prepared and aesthetically pleasing, yet the flavor profile seemed too subdued for my taste. The fundamental ingredients suggest the potential for an exquisite dining experience, but a dash of bold seasoning or an infusion of herbs and spices could elevate it significantly. The overall food quality is impressive, with fresh ingredients and what appears to be house-made tortillas adding to the authenticity of the meal.
Wetos are welcome here! If you can look past the run-down facade with its patchy roof tiles and sun wrecked signage, you’re in for a tasty Mexican meal at Menudoria Guanajuato. As a kid, I part-timed it in various kitchens around town and found my Mexican workmates friendly, hard working, and always willing to poke fun of the Chico blanco flaca working alongside them. So both times I’ve eaten here I was the lone white face in a sea of hispanic faces and felt right at home. I chose traditional Menudo Rojo (they don’t serve pozole) with a side of toasted bread.Once I tossed in chopped onions, cilantro, and fresh lime, I got to “gettin’ busy” eating. The customer service and meal were equally satisfying and I left Menudoria Guanajuato full bellied, and looking forward to my next visit.
Nice spot, make sure someone actually speaks Spanish, none of the employees spoke English.Best place to go early in the morning after a night out drinking. The menudo is popular at this place, it was on every table in the restaurant.I wish it had more flavor.I ordered the large bowl and wish I got the beef soup like my friends did.Drinks are awesome from Mexico in the glass bottles..
