This was one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to.The food was incredible, the staff were extremely friendly. The restaurant was packed and we first were told it was a 25 minute wait.We didn’t want to wait after leaving the manager rearranged the tables and called us back. We’re so glad he did! Were definitely coming again. Maidi was a great waitress!!!!
I recently visited Maharaj Indian Grill in Chicago and had a mixed experience. The food was hit or miss, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The Yellow Daal Fry was a highlight of the meal - creamy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The Baigan Bharata was also delicious, with a nice balance of smoky eggplant and tangy spices. Unfortunately, the Malai Kofta was a letdown. The koftas were overcooked and dry, and the sauce was too sweet and lacking in depth. The Dal Makhani was average, nothing special but not bad either. The Paneer Tikka starter was amazing, though! Tender, juicy paneer in a flavorful marinade, grilled to perfection. The Maharaja Appetizer Platter was just okay, a mix of fried and grilled items that didn't particularly stand out. Service was friendly but slow, and prices were a bit high for the quality of food.Overall, I'd give Maharaj Indian Grill 3 out of 5 stars. If they can improve their consistency and quality, they have the potential to be a top-notch Indian restaurant in Chicago.
Amazing indian restaurant in downtown.Price are okay and service is very good.Maidi was great in serving us.We were a group of 4 in Chicago for work and we did really love this place. It is a must going there if you like Indian food and you are in Chicago
