I ordered the steak fajita and homemade guacamole. It was one of the best I've tasted in Austin.You won't find much great Mexican food in Austin anyways but this one was one of the better ones. The meat was really soft.The waitress brought the avocados and other ingredients to the table to prepare the guacamole. I give this restaurant 4 stars for the food because of the price.You can get the same quality and taste at a better price somewhere else.The waitress was very professional. The manager also came out to offer me a sample of the steak fajita after hearing it was our first time.

We were in the area and settled on some TexMex cuisine.It's so rich that I can only eat it about one time per year.We were not disappointed with Lupe Tortilla to satisfy that craving.The portions are HUGE. We shared the large frozen Margarita.It was a bit too sweet for me but good enough. The never ending chips and salsas were a plus.An added thank you to the bartenders who kept my salsa bowls full because I live for salsa and theirs was quite good.Then we split the 1/2 lb.of shrimp fajitas ($24).These came with 10 shrimp, fresh and nicely grilled, two whole grilled Jalapenos (yum!), guacamole, Pico de gallo, more salsa (yay!), shredded cheese, some fried rice, refried beans (ask for black beans if you are a vegetarian).You can ask for a mix of flour tortillas which are big enough to make a burrito, and corn tortillas which are taco size.We both had one of each and barely walked out of there.We were that full.The corn tortillas were a bit thick.I prefer mine more delicate.Overall I was quite surprised and pleased with the bar staff and the food.The interior was clean and what you would expect from a chain restaurant.There were plenty of large family groups eating as well as more private booths, smaller tables, outdoor seating and barstools.We will be back.

George was great.Very attentive.Had some great recommendations.Sold us on sitting at the bar instead of a table for faster service.He did not lie or disappoint.We walked in sober and we left very happy 😁 5 stars all around!
