Mexican restaurant
Our large group sampled nearly the entire menu, excluding desserts. In summary, the food was satisfactory but didn't wow us.Although the dishes were competently prepared, they lacked the vibrant and deep flavors characteristic of traditional Mexican cuisine. The restaurant itself boasts a pleasant atmosphere, enhanced by stunning views, especially from tables near the large windows—a seating choice we recommend if available.
They have a good selection of margaritas.I had my first avocado margarita and it was so good.We also had spatchcocked citrus chicken, which was cooked well and tasted good.Cauliflower side, corn and queso were all good.Definitely different than your average Mexican restaurant with healthier options.Nice ambiance and very helpful and friendly staff. It was dark when we were there so I didn’t see it but the views must be excellent.
The food is actually yummy, but Fresa’s does not really meet expectations as a Mexican restaurant. They played Kyoto by Phoebe Bridgers, a song about an American girl’s trip to Japan, and Fresa’s felt as Mexican as Phoebe is Japanese.Like they had a fun trip there, but it’s not really who they are.Fresa’s feels like it belongs in California instead of Texas That being said, the chicken is pretty great.
