I have been to there sister restaurant Salt Traders many times but this was my first time at Jack Allen's and it was definitely as delicious as everyone has told me.
I love the flavor profiles and combinations.
I like the way they fuse Texas flavors like barbacoa and fried green tomatoes.

The place is very classy.
The food preparations are very good.
The place has plenty of parking.
Really good bar area.
We were group of 6 people and we were at bar area.
Cocktails were ok. The brunch menu is just awesome.

My husband and I had dinner here.
We tried the chicken nachitos, the crispy fried catfish and slaw, and the chicken fried New York strip.
For dessert had the blondie brownie pie.
The food was all delicious.
The chicken for the nachos was seasoned well.
My husband said his catfish was crunchy, and the sauce gave it a good taste.
The country fried steak was juicy and crunchy.
It had the right amount of batter and was fried to perfection.
The green chili gravy has the right amount of spice for me because I am not a fan of spicy foods.
The brownie was a bit too sweet for me, but my husband ate it.
Overall, it was great.
