I recently visited Lionel Jay's, a charming soul food spot in Montgomery that offers a rotating menu. On my Tuesday visit, I had the beef tips and rice with delicious corn and fluffy mashed potatoes. The food was lightly seasoned, perfect for those who like to add their own flair. The owner took my order personally, showcasing great hospitality.

The atmosphere was clean and quiet, making it a lovely spot for a meal. While their peach cobbler didn’t quite hit the mark, I’m already looking forward to trying the meatloaf on my next visit! 😊

Unfortunately, I heard they are temporarily closed. Hoping they’ll be back soon!
