Our dinner turned out to be healthy and flavorful, a combination you don't always find. The dessert was especially good – not too sweet and made with oats. It’s great to enjoy a meal that tastes good and also feels good. That said, the (kitchen) service could use some improvement. The wait times were long – about 45 minutes for appetizers and over an hour for the main courses, even though the place wasn’t at its full capacity. It definitely made the whole experience less enjoyable.
We had a good time at Leah & Louise, with excellent service from Aja (sorry if I spelled your name wrong.) we loved the cornmeal brioche, a revelation, and the oxtail was very good too.The mussels were tasty but the vinegar was a bit strong for delicate mussels in my opinion.I especially enjoyed a mocktail they made for me with the spiced hibiscus syrup.
Absolutely wonderful meal and even better service! I will continue to say that Camp NorthEnd is wildly underrated, and Leah & Louise proves my point. This spot was incredible. We had the Oxtail and Grits, which my partner almost wasn't going to let me try because it was that good.I had a micro green salad, Fried Hot Oysters on toast, I don't remember the actual name of these two dishes. However, just know they were both delicious. The salad was perfectly seasoned, and the texture of the greens were the right amount of crunchy. The fried oysters were definitely the star, though. The bread was buttered and fluffy, pairing to the nicely battered oysters. The hot sauce on them was smokey yet had a nice spice that was running you to find water. The service was impeccable, and everyone was so friendly.I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as the space is small yet cozy.
