Italian restaurant, Restaurant
We came here on a Sunday night and got to enjoy our dinner on the patio. We don’t eat meat and we go light on dairy and our waitress was kind enough to mark up a menu to help us visualize what we could and couldn’t get. We got the focaccia with ricotta cheese. The bread was perfectly toasted and the honey on the ricotta paired really well with the cheese. We also got the charred cabbage to start.I was thoroughly impressed by the cabbage. The charring added a lot of flavour and the sauce the cabbage was in was full of flavour. For our main, the chef was able to make us a vegan pasta. It was by far my favourite dish.It was green forward but in a fresh way.The pasta was cooked perfectly. We ended with two truffles and the cake.I love that they have a chef who specializes in desserts. I would choose this place over other Italian spots because they obviously care about where they get their food from. There’s a list of farms they work with on the back of the menu. All of their staff is listed on the menus as well. You can tell how much pride they have in the food and the ambience. I highly recommend!
Overall we really liked our visit.Atmosphere was cozy and classy but still laid back.Staff were all very friendly and our waitress was very attentive. The food was really fresh and we liked the adventurous approach, but some of the flavors we felt didn't mesh up quite right. The drinks were good, but pretty basic for the $$.The wagyu brisket in fried risotto appetizer was very heavy, and the puree and apples I think were supposed to balance it out, but felt disjointed and like 2 separate dishes. My quail and risotto was delicious, but I was expecting a whole or at least half a quail and only had the legs and wings which was almost nothing and was very small proportionally to the risotto. My wife's duck confit pasta was delicious, with spice and balanced flavors, but it tasted more like an Asian dumpling than Italian pasta to me.The brown butter cake with cinnamon Gelato was outstanding.Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend checking it out!
Intero is an Italian-inspired, farm-to-table restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience. The menu features fresh, locally sourced ingredients, creating vibrant and authentic flavors. From handmade pasta to seasonal dishes, each bite is a celebration of quality produce and skilled craftsmanship. The warm ambiance and attentive service add to the overall charm, making it a must-visit for those seeking a taste of Italy with a commitment to sustainability. It’s very hard to find a parking so I recommend to carpool.
