Visiting Austin, we looked up places known for Southern Comfort and my husband was very interested in the options when we looked up the menu! The almond/praline iced coffee and breakfast chicken and biscuits I ordered were great and the shrimp and grits ordered by my husband were gone in a flash.
We'd recommend checking Sawyer & Co out! Their interior décor isn't anything to scoff at either, maintaining traditional diner elements but with a modern twist.

Delicious breakfast of Fried Chicken Biscuit with cheesy grits! Nice place, easy going atmosphere, I was here at noon on a Thursday and had no problem getting seated.
But I bet you need reservations later in the day to not have a long wait.
I will return here with friends snd family for sure.
Oh yeah, Mason is an excellent bartender/server!

Finally made it out to Sawyer & Co.
Love the southern-style diner feel.
This southern-style diner offers dishes that are inspired by New Orleans.
Ordered the Creole Shrimp and Grits and the Fried Chicken biscuit.
Both dishes were very flavorful and authentic.
