Chinese restaurant
This is such a quaint little spot in DC, upscale Asian dining for sure. I absolutely love the decor and ambiance. Even the restrooms are super cute! We got the all you can eat deal, and definitely did justice to that offer. The food was good, some items were excellent like the dumplings, some average, others not so much. The noodle dishes and rice dishes were quite large for a tasting, if you ate it, there was no room to try anything else. So ask for smaller portions, and try more dishes. Our waitress seemed a little annoyed that we were there for some reason, her demeanor was definitely not welcoming, and really put me off. I also didn't like that the Gratuity was added onto the check without my nowledge, and it was only a party of two, is this a new rule I haven't heard of? It was an experience to have as a one time thing.
The food here is BOMB! This restaurant is located in between other restaurants.Once you come into the restaurant, it’s pretty small, but has a nice atmosphere.I got the $38 all you can eat option, but they have more all you can eat options for $48.They have happy hour ALL DAY for just $18.Unfortunately, you cannot take any of the food with you, if you choose the buffet option. Most of the food was so good, fresh and flavorful. My fave was the seafood fried rice, pan fried beef and vegetables dumplings, vegetables fried rice, and shrimp lo men.My least fave was the dry beef chow, scallion pancakes, purple gold yolk bun and pan fried lamb dumplings.Check this place out, you’ll love it!
My wife and I went to Han Palace for lunch recently because we heard about their all you can eat menu.It was extremely festive because of Chinese New Year.We looked at the price between the food we wanted and the all you can eat menu and decided it was less expensive to just order food off the original menu.We ended up having plenty of leftovers as well.I’m not such if this is the case at this restaurant but at most restaurants when you do the all you can eat menu option you’re typically not allowed to take food home. The menu between all you can eat and the original menu are different. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The main reason why my rating is what it is, is because there was no option to get general tso or orange chicken with with meat.If you haven’t tried it with white me you are missing out.
