I had dinner recently with colleagues at Circa in the Navy Yard area of Washington, D.C.
I showed up initially without a reservation around 7:00 PM and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table.
First tip: when visiting this restaurant, get a reservation in advance. I met my colleagues unexpectedly (who did have a reservation) and we ate together at a booth.
I had already been served at a single table, but the staff had no issue with moving my place setting.
I appreciated their support.
I had ordered the salmon salad along with a pretzel loaf, which is the restaurant’s offering for a side order of bread.
The salmon was cooked to a medium temperature as per my request and the rest of the salad was excellent.
The salad had mixed greens, peewee potatoes, balsamic onions, and goat cheese.
All very yummy. For dessert we shared a small bourbon bread pudding which was truly rich tasty and delicious. The service was very good, and the staff were very helpful when I arrived without a reservation, so kudos to them I would give this restaurant four out of five stars.
It’s someplace I’ll return to for a fresh tasty meal the next time I’m in D.C.

Visited D.C.
for an extended weekend trip and CIRCA was the Friday night dinner spot.
The pumpkin ravioli, jambalaya, and chicken mango salad were all hits.
They also have a cherry blossom festival menu and I loved the drink.
Service was good and prices were reasonable for the portions.

First visit and My family had a dinner for celebrating new year.
Every dish we ordered was beyond expectations and I appreciate the reasonable portion size for each dish.
We will def come back.
