This was my 1st time trying Gritz.
I had fish, greens, mac n cheese.
My husband had fried chicken, grits, yams, and greens.
We waited for 45 minutes to be seated (not bad) as this is a small location.
The fish was good, and it reminded me of my grandma's fish, but unfortunately, I didn't care for anything else.
The grits tasted like instant grits, the greens lacked flavor, and the mac was not cheesy and lacked much flavor.

Grabbed late brunch here with a friend.
Initially I was put off because I walked in the “wrong door” which was apparently for take out.
The lady who approached was not the friendliest as she requested I go out the door and come back in the other one to be put on the wait list.
Personally I didn’t really like the tone and the wait area was maybe 2 ft or less away which I could have just walked right over … however after being put on the wait list we were seated promptly.
I love the updated tech, so you’ll get a text when your table is ready, you don’t have to wait inside.
When I say I wanted one of everything on the menu i’m not kidding! This place offered breakfast/lunch with a southern vibe! The rest of the wait staff were amazing! I loved all the beautiful black staff.
All smiles and good vibes.
The gentleman from the kitchen with the locs who helped bring the plates was super friendly as well.
The food was amazing! The only thing I can say is the chicken was not as well seasoned as the catfish but was still bomb especially if you’re going to put hot sauce on it anyways. Clean establishment, good music, well lit, prompt and friendly service, not over priced & amazing food. It was such an experience! Thank you Gritz 🙏🏾 I’ll be back soon!

During a recent boys' trip to Las Vegas, we decided to visit Gritz Cafe for breakfast based on the rave reviews we had read.
Despite being informed of potential wait times of up to an hour, we patiently waited and were promptly seated after about an hour.
To our pleasant surprise, our food arrived just three minutes after placing our order, and it exceeded all expectations in terms of taste and quality.
The delicious dishes were truly worth the wait, and I would gladly wait even longer for such exceptional cuisine. The staff at Gritz Cafe were not only efficient but also incredibly friendly, providing us with a memorable dining experience.
It was particularly noteworthy to see the owner personally serving customers, taking orders, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
This level of dedication and attention to detail truly set Gritz Cafe apart and made it one of the best dining experiences we've had at a black-owned restaurant.
I highly recommend Gritz Cafe to anyone looking for delicious food, exceptional service, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
