Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

It comes as a shocking revelation that I had never come to try this establishment in all my years of food criticism.
This “restaurant” is truly exceptional.
Exceptionally bad.
This sets a new gold standard for how aweful the culinary abilities of food establishments can get.
While there was an abundance of food, the quality was matched by its clientele - trash.
Never before have I seen such concentrated amounts of homogeneous types of people since my visit to downtown Chicago.
Regardless of my option, it’s easy to see that this is a cesspool of white trash.
On the other hand, the staff was cordial and nice.
I don’t blame the service staff as they were doing their job well.
I can definitely say that they do not meet the hygiene standards either, a morgue in a war-torn country would be cleaner than this place.
Not just cleanliness but in its ambience too.
That goes to say, if you seek a diner friendly environment, I would rather go to eat at a grungy strip club than here. Overall, I don’t think I shall be returning to this establishment, I wish the owner luck and the diners too.

Called to arrange space for a group of 30 and was told by the friendly woman on phone to “come on in”! We ended up being seated in a room where we were taken great care of by Jennifer and the space was perfect! This was one of the cleanest (food displays, tables, floors) that I’ve seen for awhile and the dishes were replenished quickly so there were lots of choices. Not sure if the local Missouri Sam’s club offers gift cards, but my location at home did so we purchased $50 value for about $40, brought it and saved more on what’s already a fantastic value for a buffet!

Always fun family meal.
Our server was wonderful.
The place is a bit dated and just feels "old".
The meals are always consistent w my favorites.
Seafood salad, okra and fried chicken.
The desert bar is pretty good.
Not like it used to be.
Wish they would have had chocolate ice cream. Overall I will always come back.
