Vietnamese restaurant, Pho restaurant, Vegetarian restaurant
This is my second time visiting this vegetarian restaurant. The first time was years ago. Both visits left me very positive impressions in terms of food even though I don't remember what I ordered in my first visit. But for my 2nd time, I went with my friend around Chinese lunar new year and we ordered sour and sweet soup, braised bbq claypot and hot tea. They both looked and tasted great, even the tea.The ambience gave me good vibes.I wish it could be more spacious. They both offer indoor and outdoor seating.Since it is popular, the waiting time is pretty long.Once it is your turn to get served, the service is professional. But one thing I don't understand is when we put down our name on the waiting list, they asked for our phone number. However, they only called our name in person and never actually dialed phone number to contact us.We thought they would call so we went around the plaza, and when we were back to check, our name was crossed out.Good thing is they were still able to find a table for us right away, otherwise it would've been so frustrating.
My friend and I ordered a few dishes to try with one another. We started with (#6) Muc Muoi, Salt & Pepper Calamari.Honestly, these came off more like mushroom nuggets. The batter was bland but the salt and pepper mixture was good. The side sweet and sour sauce was passable too.We also tried their (16) Bo Bia, their Autumn Wraps with jicama and other veggies. They were quite small but a refreshing change of pace from the mushrooms. For the mains, we split the (30) Bun Hue, the veggie version of Bun Bo Hue and their (45) Com Chien Thap Cam, a combination fried rice with mock meats and topped with fried onions.I thought the noodles were good with a tangy, spicy broth and plenty of mock meats. The fried rice here was surprisingly the real winner, and our favorite of the dishes. Overall, I think this spot felt a bit short of really wowing me.The decor inside was lovely and the service was friendly, but they were quite slow.We had to wait a bit in order to get the check to pay and leave and cards back, but it's understandable if they were understaffed. If you're in the area though and want to try some veggie Viet options, I'd still recommend checking them out.
Outstanding vegetarian restaurant: greatest service, food selections are plentiful and definitely the food taste delicious, food decorations are splendid. The restaurant appearance are so beautiful and gorgeous with all of the oriental ancient decorations items and in Buddhism theme. Our party have 18 people total; however, the food came out really fast and fresh. Love this place and definitely come back.
