Had dinner here with friends on a Friday night.
Had the 7 vege combo with juicy beef between 3 people.
Friendly service, the beer was tasty, and the food was delicious.
The best I have had.
The spicy lentils, collard greens, and beef were just a few of the favourites.
I wish I could find a place like this in New Zealand.

This place is amazing.
Everyone needs to eat here right now. I ordered beef jerky and spicy lentils, and instructed the man behind the counter to pick his choice of Ethiopian beers.
He brought back St.
George, which was delicious.
The entire time, his demeanor was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My meal did not disappoint.
Portion size was generous, and included a side of injera.
The food was served hot, and the quality was fantastic.
I ordered a second beer. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, with exposed brick, checkered table cloths, and vibrant colors on the wall.
The warmly lit bar area created a friendly and inclusive vibe. Several times, the man checked on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal.
I was enjoying myself and let him know it.
He insisted I write this review, and the rest is history.
Halfway through writing this review, he brought me another beer, and now I’m done writing this review.
And that’s how my night has been going so far.

Okay, I ate here yesterday and I have not been able to stop thinking about how good it was!!!! The food was fresh, authentic, and DELICIOUS! The service was absolutely fantastic (the lady who was running the restaurant was so kind and helpful).
I will absolutely be returning here.
I will be bringing friends when they visit DC.
I will walk past other Ethiopian restaurants to get there! Do yourself a favor and try this wonderful gem!!!!!!
