Financier Bistro & Bar a Vin

Hidden Gem on Park Ave. Steak Frites is the best in the city! Atmosphere is cozy and personal and the staff is very kind and attentive. 10/10 every time we visit.

So disappointed.
This was one of my very favorite places both here and New York, but I think this might have seen its day come & go - only one server, out of everything - including croissants, hot chocolate, Brussel sprouts and a few other items .
Really messy & unkempt.
Right down the street at Briarpatch it is bustling, busy and clearly not suffering from lack of stock or wait staff.
Go there and don’t bother.

Waited 10 minutes for the only waiter at 2:00 pm, 4 other tables filled and dirty tables throughout that were never picked up.
at any point while we were there.
We finally had to cancel our order after arriving 35 minutes earlier as we had an eye appointment to get to.
We had thought we had more than enough time with 90 minutes, but after 30 minutes, we were told they couldn’t find any hot chocolate and didn’t have any!! Wonderful memories from this place.
We are really sad to see it in such disarray.

I had high hopes for Financier Patisserie based on the enticing photos.
However, upon my recent visit, I was left quite disappointed.
The main reason for my visit was to enjoy some coffee and pastries, as I had seen in their advertisements.
To my surprise, there were no pastries available, which was quite perplexing. Instead, I ended up having dinner at the establishment.
I must admit, the dinner was indeed great, but it didn't quite meet the expectations I had formed based on the initial impression.
Moreover, I found the pricing to be on the higher side when compared to other French restaurants in the area. The ambiance and decor were also not quite up to par.
The installations felt a bit outdated, and the continuous play of classic French music became a bit overwhelming.
While the food and service were undoubtedly excellent, the overall environment left me feeling a bit bored and disconnected. Considering the abundance of better dining options in the vicinity, I don't think I'll be returning to Financier Patisserie.
While the dinner was enjoyable, the lack of the pastries I had anticipated, coupled with the pricing, outdated decor, and overwhelming music, made the experience fall short of what I had hoped for.
