El Forastero is a gem in Chicago for authentic Mexican fare! 🌮 I dined in and tried the Chilaquiles verdes, which were some of the best I've had - crispy and expertly seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for a family outing, and I appreciated the friendly service.

I couldn’t resist adding a side of caldo de res; the meat was incredibly tender and the vegetables fresh. Don't skip their Agua de Tamarindo - so refreshing! Definitely planning to return for their weekend Pozole and Menudo... It's a must-visit! 🎉
