September 26, 2024I recently visited El Cerrito Taqueria II for a casual dinner and came away with mixed feelings. The ambiance is relaxed, but the heat inside was quite intense on a warm evening without A/C. 🌶️
I tried the Carne Asada fries, and while the flavor was good, the wait time was nearly 30 minutes - definitely a stretch for fast Mexican fare. Service was adequate, but I encountered a hefty credit card fee that left a sour note.
Despite some rough spots, the Birria tacos had great flavor beneath the challenges. ... Would I return? Possibly, but I’d recommend bringing cash! 🌮
