The neighborhood bird is the star menu item at this restaurant.
The chicken sandwich is full of flavor, the sauce adds even more depth to the sandwich and the steamed bun brings everything together.
The tempura broccoli is one of the best I’ve had.
The rice and beans are also a great side for the sandwich.
We also got the pork ancho chile bun and a side of pickles, which was also good.
Not sure I would pay for the pickles again, they were quick expensive but enough for 2-3 people to share. The restaurant is a bit small and pretty busy on weekends, so if you’re a large party you may need to eat elsewhere. All in all, all the staff were friendly.
I will definitely keep returning here.

We had an amazing lunch at Ekiben! We tried the Neighborhood Bird as a bun, which was amazing! I love to see a fried chicken thigh sandwich!! We also had a beef bowl that could feed a small family.
The broccoli side is probably the best broccoli I’ve ever eaten.
Only down aide is the small seating area, but we and most others were able to grab a table when needed.
Will be back! Also the workers were kind and full of information on the food!
