Nuevo Latino restaurant
Found this restaurant on IG and thought I'd take a trip and give them a try since it's been a long time since I've had Dominican food.Finding parking was a bit difficult but if you don't mind the walk it shouldn't be a problem really. The atmosphere inside was very nice and welcoming, clean including the restroom, and everyone was very friendly.I had be dying to have a good fried fish for awhile and decided on having that with mangú and a Presidente beer. The fish was cooked perfectly, very juicy and flavorful. The mangú was absolutely a good a choice, it was soft and tasty with pickled onions on top to add to the flavor.I certainly will be visiting again for sure!
DELICIOUS DOMINCAN BREAKFAST! $11.99/ plate! Got Mangu 3 Golpes (3 hits) meaning mashed plantains with pickled onions on top, sausage, fried eggs, and fried cheese.Delicious and very filling! They open at 10am on Sunday.
Based on my initial experience, I would have not returned. The front desk attendant was a bit rude and my order was incorrect.I ordered online and the way the order printed for them missed the fact I wanted monfongo and not rice.I drove 25 mins for monfongo so you can image my disappointment when I returned home with my order. I called for a refund and that’s is where my opinion changed. They couldn’t reach someone at the moment but made sure to follow up with me.They were very understanding, recognized the issues, took responsibility, refunded me and invited me back. I did eat the incorrect order and it was delicious.I cannot wait to try the monfongo. I will be back
