OK, let’s be honest, North Phoenix does not always have the best independent restaurants but there is an exception and it’s called Delizia. First and foremost, this is a full service, full menu, Italian Deli amen! Start with the fact that they have a full breakfast menu, coffee bar, desert case, soups, cannolis, and most prominently sandwiches.
The sandwich I got was number 32, The Italian Sub, apparently their most popular.
The bread was soft and perfectly baked.
The meat was flavorful and generous.
Friendly and helpful staff that seem to love their job. I cannot say enough about this place.
I am so happy to find it and I love being able to recommend amazing independent restaurants like this that truly help define the uniquely diverse population that live in Phoenix. Go right now get some cannolis and a sub from Delizia! You won’t regret it!

Love the breakfast burritos and salsa! Love the meatball sub and hot Italian sub! Went back today for lunch and took folks from work with me. Meatball sub is always delicious! Mary is great! I’ve know her for years and she is so friendly and helpful.

Ordered some salads this morning.
Blown away by how fresh both of them are.
We ordered the Greek salad and oriental chicken salad.
Both are so delicious!!!! Great portions, fresh ingredients, tasty dressings.
We will be back to try more food :) this will become a regular salad spot for us.
