Italian restaurant
Looked for a place to eat before our show and was happy to find this place open for happy hour! The happy hour menu was a great way to enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere without breaking the bank—especially during the weekend! The small bites plates were the perfect pairing with the selected pastas on the menu.I highly recommend the baby beets as the burrata goes well with the hazelnut pesto and beet flavor. The Tonnarelli was a perfect al dente and the Strozzapreti had a great spice to it. We may not go here beyond this time as the regular price is a little beyond our go to, but I recommend coming in for the happy hour times if you can!

Hi James, thank you for your kind words. We’re glad you enjoyed happy hour before your show! Strozzapreti is one of my favorites too.We hope to see you back soon, James.Cheers!
The Creste di Gallo was actually quite lacking in depth of flavor and basic salt content.Of the four people in our party, two ordered this dish and had the same lack of flavor and salt, and they came out at different times so we don't think it was a fluke.Disappointed compared to our other ESR experiences.

I stopped in yesterday evening for a quick bite and a glass of wine at the bar before heading to an event nearby. The service, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch.No complaints about any of that. My big complaint is about their mandatory 22% service charge and is directed solely at the ownership.I don't recall seeing any mention of this service charge on the happy hour menu. The note about the service charge says 100% of it is retained by the company and that a gratuity is not expected. However, the bill still includes a line item for a gratuity. At best this is confusing, and at worst, a dishonest cash grab.As a former service industry employee myself, I'm a good tipper and would have no objection to this service charge if it was made clear that it was being distributed directly to the servers and back of house staff. However, the wording of the note plus the gratuity line item on the bill strongly implies that the restaurant ownership is simply using the service charge as an excuse to line their pockets, and that we're stiffing our server if we leave the gratuity line blank when paying our bill.
