The food was good but we were given dirty cups so i must minus the service star. Also they dont speak english much, an unfortunate for sll the travelers. The atmosphere is brilliant with the weather and the wind and i do not have anything to complain about. The portion is HUGE so be aware guys. Also try the steak and the Foie Gras, it id expensive but it is worth every bite.By the way every dishes have potatoes as side dishes…
A hidden gem!! Thank you for starting off my Paris experience amazingly!! This place looks like a small, family-owned business, located right next to a cemetery, so our expectations were pretty low. However, all the food they served was extraordinary!! There are mostly duck-related options, with different, exquisite sauces, including some personal recipes. They are all accompanied by sauteed potatoes, which were very nicely prepared! They have a nice desert choice which is "4 random mini-deserts", which we enjoyed for a fair price. The atmosphere was also nice, and the waiters were friendly. Both the waiters and the menus were english-friendly. We werw here on a Monday evening without a reservation. However, the place is quite small, so I wouldn't expect it to be free during more touristic times. Thank you! Totally recommend!
After watching Olympics games, there were only very few places with kitchen open at 11Pm.So Chez Papa came handy, offering a long list of options. In this perspective, it is very tourist-friendly. Heard it is a famous local French fast food chain. And indeed French it turned out to be.My favorite part is they served roasted potatoes over lettuce alongside a foie gras burger, lol.Yeah why do we need fried chips to add more feeling of guilt? Let the lettuce balances the scale. Back to the food. You could go heavy or light. My friend’s pappadelle with foie gras was decent, not over greasy. My wife orders a salad bowl and it was served warm, with cooked beans and eggs. Maybe not an impressive gourmet spot, but it saves the tourists’ kitchen work.
