Chef's Kitchen and Cocktails

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and my amazing husband brought me last night! It was a wonderful dinner.
The atmosphere is more upscale but still inviting.
We started with the salmon egg rolls and they were to die for! For entrees we got the crab fried rice and lamb lollipops.
Both were flavorful and cooked to perfection.
We will definitely be back soon.

Great customer service! Good food and cozy atmosphere.
We went for our anniversary and the waitress was THE BEST! We had the red snapper, one with curry and one with dirty rice and plantains; both were good.
The fried banana pudding was really good.

Wanted to end a busy work week by treating myself to dinner and a drink, before departing the Norfolk area. A quick Google search of local restaurants led me to Chef's Kitchen and Cocktails.
The photos of the food on Google and Instagram had me sold, visually... And experiencing it in real life, did NOT dissapoint! Taj was my waiter and provided excellent customer service. I started off with a cocktail he suggested (Margarita Mystery) and it was very good.
It wasn't too sweet, a wee bit tart, and tasted like a jolly rancher. For my meal, I had the house salad which was dressed very nice, and the jerk pasta with salmon.
The pasta was flavorful with a bit of a kick! I fully enjoyed it. I decided to take dessert to go and settled on the fried banana pudding (banana pudding fried in cornflakes) -- I really wanted to love my dessert, but it was just okay.
It was a little too sweet, to me, and I didn't get any bananas in the few bites I took. Overall, the ambiance was nice, the aesthetic was cute, the music was jamming, and the food and drinks were on point! The one con, which I don't necessarily mind, is that 20% gratuity is automatically added on to the bill. I will certainly be returning when in the Norfolk area, again!
