Decided to do 2024 Cinco de Mayo at this Guads location.SILVIA was amazing!! Great service and recommended my wonderfully delicious & plentiful VALLARTA 10” tortilla filled with shrimp, crab, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and rice topped with a seafood sauce and chipotle! Sooo good! Also the MEXICAN ENCHILADAS (4) Beef, chicken, cheese and bean enchilada, topped with sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream -- equally plentiful 😋 The Shrimp, Crab & Queso Dip is a starter must! And its satisfaction competitor would be the fresh made chunky guacamole 🥑!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😋
My friend and I had to find a place that was open late, and I've never been here, and we decided to try this establishment. She wanted a raspberry margarita, and I've got to say I tasted hers it was absolutely delicious! The margarita shown is a top shelf margarita very good but watch out it will sneak up on you.My friend ordered a taco salad, which she said was very good.I ordered chili rellenos and did not know that they gave you an option of cheese, chicken, or beef, so I ordered two cheese and one beef.I was surprised that it was ground beef and not shredded beef, but they did taste good. However, when I tried the beans, they were very Bland, an orange looking colored instead of brown, but I did not prefer the beans whatsoever. On a positive note, The Establishment was only 30 minutes from closing but welcomed us in, and we were the last ones to leave, and they waited on us for each of our requests and were very hospitable they were.
I can genuinely say that this food is closer to Italian food than Mexican food.I’m not even kidding- I would bet money that the salsa is Ragu marinara sauce from the jar with cilantro in it.The service was awful and there was not a pinch of spice at all on the plate. The beans were even a little sweet.I won’t be back.My husband asked for a spicier salsa and they brought him Cholula. That’s a dead give away that this place was NOT started by a Mexican. Even thinking that this place might be Mexican food is a stretch and insulting to my people.
