Reasonable prices and classic Calabash style seafood.
The portions are large and the service was good.

I had an unexpected twist at Captain Stanley's “Calabash style” Seafood Restaurant in Raleigh, NC.
Originally aiming for seafood, destiny led me to their ribeye steak, and I couldn't resist.
I ordered it alongside a baked potato, lima beans, and sweet tea with a quarter of a lemon.
They kindly added hush puppies to the order because of the wait, which didn't bother me.
The staff was very friendly and engaging with me, along with customers that entered, which added to my overall experience and gave it a homely vibe.
Despite being a seafood restaurant, the ribeye steak was spot on.
It was medium-well cooked and lightly seasoned.
The sides were equally great.
And once again, even though I was in a seafood restaurant, the ribeye stole the show. So the combination of fate, friendly staff, and the steak I wanted made this takeout experience unforgettable. *Note: Maybe the next time I visit Captain Stanley’s, I will order seafood.

I am not sure if the restaurant has new owners or what has happened.
The food use to be Amazing! I have recommended this restaurant to so many.
It’s normally packed on a Friday night but for the last two Fridays it has not been.
The quality of the food has gone way down.
The fish is not good and really fishy! The baked potato’s are so small.
The portions have even gotten smaller.
Hush puppies are very small as well and taste different almost burnt.
Customer service is horrible.
I mean they charge if you sneeze wrong.
I asked for lemons I was charged normally they don’t charge.
I asked for vinegar I was charged .25 for a pack of vinegar.
Where are the old owners bring them back!
