Sushi restaurant, Japanese restaurant
My fiancé and I have been coming here for years! And the food is always super good.I love the sweet home Alabama that has cooked chicken in it and they have the best spicy mayo in town.(Not too spicy) We love the variety of the sushi roll options and them being BOGO helps too.The atmosphere here is pretty good and we have always had great service every time we came. It is definitely busier downtown on the weekend so best to set a reservation and you will likely have to pay for parking.Unless you are fine walking a bit further to park in the free parking garage near by. Don’t forget to get your side of spicy mayo with your sushi! It’s not the same without it.
Came in for the first time with a group of 8 for a work lunch.I had heard a lot about this place and was looking forward to trying it. The reason for the 2 stars was the service. It took 45 minutes for the food to come out leaving us with 15 minutes to eat.Now I realize we had a group of 8, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. At noon, which should’ve been a warning. The food itself was lack luster. The sushi wasn’t bad but several other dishes came out cold. Sadly I don’t think many of us will be returning to Sushi Blues.
This place is amazing. The drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The Sinatra is my favorite.Nina Simone is my girls favorite. We had the gallifinakis, Marilyn Monroe, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura.Absolutely amazing. The sashimi appetizer was amazing as well.We will definitely be back
